Climate and Nature Advisory

Kisaru provides strategic advisory services to clients operating in the climate and nature sectors.

Prior to establishing Kisaru, Alex McLean had a thirty year legal career advising government, regulators, financial institutions, corporates and NGO's on strategic, policy, regulatory, project, finance and transactional matters in the energy and environment sectors in Ireland and internationally.

Alex has dedicated much of his career to advancing the energy transition and transforming organisational culture to embrace sustainability and corporate responsibility. In 2021, Alex was named as Energy Lawyer of the Year (globally) by Who's Who Legal.

Nature Journeys

Kisaru works with local agents and operators to offer private guided and small group nature and photographic safaris hosted by Alex McLean. Alex is a FGASA qualified field guide and an award winning wildlife photographer.

All trips have a strong focus on responsible tourism, with a preference for using owner operated camps and lodges. In addition to capturing great images, Alex aims to ensure all his guests leave with a much deeper appreciation of the rich ecosystem that they are visiting, as well as a better understanding of the complex challenges in conserving wild places.

Photography

Alex is passionate about nature and conservation storytelling, primarily through his photography.

Alex is a Licentiate of the Irish Photographic Federation and Artiste de la Federacion Internacional de Artes Photographic. He is a regular speaker on nature photography.

Fine art prints can be purchased on request. All profits from the sales of prints are donated to conservation NGOs.
